Calculations for natural gas compressors

I’m facing a problem now: for air compressors and natural gas compressors that operate under the same conditions (1 atm, 20 degrees Celsius), and when compressing from the same low pressure to the same high pressure, the calculated power consumption is the same. Logically, since natural gas has a lower density, its power consumption should be less. I hope everyone can help me figure this out.
Please provide detailed process parameters: components, inlet and outlet pressures, inlet temperature, air cooling? Water-cooled?
