As shown in the image, the bearing balls near the outer corner turn blue, and the copper retainer is damaged; The angular contact bearings of the **balance scale are in good condition. Could someone please advise on the reasons for the bearing damage and possible solutions?
1. The flow rate may be low. 2. The bearing clearance is not properly adjusted. 3. The clearance between the balance disk and the balance plates is not properly adjusted.
Start by checking the usage in terms of manufacturing processes to see if there are any violations. It seems that the problem lies with the oil; check whether the filters in the oil circuit are damaged, and thoroughly clean the bearing housing and oil tank. The issue might be resolved; it’s worth giving it a try.
Is the gap too large? Is it still too small?
May I ask, if it’s a problem with the oil, why are only the bearings on the **balance beam side damaged, while the outer bearings are intact? Two sets of angular contact bearings are mounted back to back.
During pump operation, the temperature on the outside of this bearing housing is around 65 degrees. Is the clearance too large? Is it still too small?
The bearing clearance is not set properly; check by using shims to adjust the clearance.
Do back-to-back mounted angular contact bearings also require clearance adjustment?
Measure first to determine whether an adjustment is needed. Also, may I ask what the axial clearance of the balance disk is? Maintenance data is very important.
