During the initial regeneration, the adsorption capacity of the molecular sieve is actually quite limited; if it operates at or below the minimum load, the switching time will be very long. This results in an increased time for initial activation (it is generally required that 3 cycles be completed for initial regeneration), and it also wastes electricity consumed by the compressor. So, everyone, how do you decide on this time? Is there any good way?

If the requirements are not met, it may continue to grow; so why use several cycles to make a judgment if the requirements have been met? Most molecular sieves are already activated upon leaving the factory and are packaged in a sealed manner. Actually, it depends on the recommendations of the molecular sieve manufacturer... If you don’t follow those recommendations, you might encounter problems during subsequent use; they will say that you didn’t follow their SOPs... The consequences will be up to you. For the first drying process after the molecular sieves are installed, the system is usually still in operation, so there’s no need to worry about saving a little energy at the cost of causing more problems later. PS. From my personal experience, heating once is sufficient... It takes around 8–12 hours. Nitrogen is used as the carrier, and steam is used to heat the nitrogen in order to dry the molecular sieves.
