All openings and connections for pipelines on the cylinder shall be of size DN20 (NPS3/4) or larger; pipelines of sizes DN32, DN65, DN90, DN125, DN175, and DN225 (NPS11/4, NPS21/2, NPS31/2, NPS5, NPS7, NPS9) shall not be used.
What do you want to ask? ? ? It’s asking why pipes of sizes such as DN32, DN65, and DN90 are not used?
Can it be understood that if openings are made on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the cylinder, the diameter of those openings cannot be larger than DB20?
The cylinder components are subjected to a helium test at a pressure of at least 1.0 times the maximum allowable operating pressure, with the pressure held for 30 minutes to check for leaks. Why use helium?
Hydrogen leak detection is relatively dangerous; helium, being an inert gas, poses little risk. It comes down to molecular weight – gases with a lower molecular weight can leak, while those with a higher molecular weight cannot leak under equal pressure conditions
