Precautions for installing vortex flowmeters: 1. Vortex flowmeters are precision instruments, and they should be installed in a dry, well-ventilated area with minimal dust. 2. The instrument should have at least 10–15 times the length of straight pipe section, with an additional 5 times or more of straight pipe section behind it. The installation location should be chosen to facilitate installation, wiring, and debugging. 3. There must be a section of straight pipe; before installation, the two flanges should be welded first, then the instrument should be installed and secured, the pipe should be cut to create a straight section of equal length, and finally the previously welded assembly of the instrument should be installed. Do not weld the table header between the flanges. 4. The instrument should be installed indoors, away from vibrations and strong electromagnetic interference; if installed outdoors, the gauge head needs to be protected. 5. In the case of vortex flowmeters used for measuring steam, the meter body and pipes must be insulated, and the flanges must be secured tightly to ensure no air leaks; otherwise, the instrument is prone to damage.
