A screw expander is a type of heat engine that converts thermal energy into mechanical energy by utilizing the expansion of gas volume to drive the rotation of the screw rotor. It is an emerging type of power generation mechanism that can be widely applied in areas such as industrial waste heat recovery, geothermal power generation, and biomass power generation. It can directly drive generators, as well as mechanical devices such as pumps and fans. Since 2015, our company has been producing mechanical seals for screw expander shafts, with shaft diameters of 130 MM and 160 MM respectively. It has been successfully used for power generation with geothermal screw expanders in Yangbajing, Tibet, as well as those in Longyuan, Tibet.
Domestic companies should give more opportunities to domestic products; otherwise, how can the overall level of high-end equipment manufacturing be improved?
I fully support President Wang’s remarks. Now, domestic products have seen significant improvements in terms of materials and manufacturing processes. The technical capabilities of domestic manufacturers are on par with those of foreign manufacturers, and in some cases, they even exceed those of the original foreign giants.
