Dear Haichuan friends, after replacing the shaft end pump of a platform gearbox, the oil pressure was high upon startup, 0.1 MPa higher than normal; however, after operating for some time (three days), the oil pressure returned to normal. Excuse me, what is the reason for this?
There are two possibilities: one is that low oil temperature causes high pressure, and the other is that the regulator of the pump head’s pressure reducer isn’t properly adjusted, which could lead to problems with the new pump’s pressure valve.
After the pump head was replaced, the flow rate increased. However, after operating for some time, the gears wore out, which inadvertently increased the internal clearance of the pump and reduced its output capacity.
