Are horizontal spiral centrifuges effective? Is the amount of liquid carried by the filter cake high? Who knows the specific working principle? On Baidu, it was found that the process involves differential filtration and separation of the filter cake; however, since the feed cylinder has such a large area, it’s possible that the solids may adhere to the feed cylinder before they have time to be centrifuged to the wall of the drum.
Whether it works well or not mainly depends on your material conditions. We are currently using one unit for protein concentration, and other reagents need to be added; it took over half a year to find the appropriate process. You can contact the manufacturer to conduct tests.
