When the entire plant doesn’t need air, where does the gas discharged by the screw air compressor go?
When the entire plant does not require air, it means that the pressure is above the unloading pressure; in this case, the screw air compressor enters an unloading mode, the inlet’s loading/unloading valve closes, and the compressor basically stops producing exhaust gas
Compressors generally come equipped with unloading and loading functions; they will automatically unload when the pressure reaches a certain level
The excess gas is released directly through the unloading valve, followed by operation in unloaded mode, and finally the machine is shut down
The inlet valve of the screw air compressor is closed, but the screw is still rotating? Won’t that deflate the casing? Can the rotor still rotate with the inlet valve closed?
