I would like to ask the experts: When looking at the handover documents for previous equipment, there is a value related to the maximum pressure at the pump inlet, labeled as flood/lift. What does this mean? The normal pressure at the inlet is 10 psiA, which is equivalent to -0.32 barg.
\"Lift\" refers to the lift height; try to consider the context to see if \"flood\" means flow rate

There is a pressure-bearing issue with the pump design. The pump outlet pressure is equal to the inlet pressure plus the head. If the pressure at the pump inlet is too high, it will result in excessive internal pressure during pump operation, which can easily cause the pump casing to crack. That’s exactly what I mean

In the handover documents, there is a value of flood regardless of whether the inlet pressure is positive or negative; for negative pressure, only one value of lift is observed. How can this be explained? Or is it unrelated to whether the suction port pressure is positive or negative?
Is there a positive or negative relationship between flood or lift and the inlet pressure?
