I have been working in equipment management for many years, but today I suddenly encountered a question: what is the actual use of calculating the monthly operating hours of equipment? When the equipment is in operation, it primarily provides a data basis for operations such as regular switching of equipment and periodic maintenance; it also serves as a component that reflects the operational integrity rate of the devices or all the equipment in the plant.
It’s useless when there’s no problem, but it’s needed when there is one. What are the tasks: 1. Supervisory inspection 2. Year-end report 3. Equipment failure analysis. 4 Device status data, etc. These are the basic records for equipment management.
I specialize in process engineering. From a process perspective, statistical data is collected during equipment operation; over time, this data can provide a basis for determining whether it is necessary to switch the equipment or take it for maintenance
