What are the hazards of liquid entering a Roots blower?

Dear sea friends: Is it allowed for rotary vane blowers to operate with liquid present, and are there any requirements regarding the amount of liquid? What harm will it cause? Thank you for your advice :)
The design institute advises you: there’s no significant impact; such rotary machines don’t have any major problems. Having liquid can only reduce efficiency a bit. Screw compressors also come in types with water injection and oil injection. They are all rotary positive-displacement types.
It doesn’t matter if the liquid is atomized; visible liquid will cause damage to the machine. Ask the manufacturer for the specific quantity.
It depends on what liquid is present; when chlorine reacts with alkali, a large amount of heat is generated. If there is liquid present and, coincidentally, too much chlorine, then the fan will be damaged
