Due to design oversights, inadequate inspection of the drawings, and the rush to put the system into use, the reverse circulation line of the shielded pump returns directly to the pump inlet as shown in the diagram. Has anyone encountered this situation before? How is it performing?
It is called a reverse circulation line in the diagram, and it is also known as a meteorological return line. Installing it in this way is certainly not proper. Under normal operating conditions, when the outlet valve does not restrict flow, the pump can operate, but this can easily cause the medium at the inlet to vaporize, leading to dry grinding of the shielded pump. The shielding sleeve may get worn out, and the graphite bearings can also be damaged.
It’s a last resort! Fortunately, this pump is used very rarely!
See whether your working medium is a readily vaporizable one or not? If the substance is highly volatile, there can be problems during operation; substances such as vinyl chloride, propane, ethylenes, those with a carbon chain length of 5 or more, and benzene derivatives work better in this regard. In practical use, such connectors are not entirely absent – they are indeed often used as a temporary solution. I’m aware of many cases where they deliver very good results
It’s the shielding pump of the empire; this line should lead to the gas phase area of the tank. But sometimes the tank is too far away from the pump, making it impossible to return there. There are ways to handle this, but it’s not very good
Modify the shielded pump – making the changes at the outlet should work. Reverse circulation relies on the liquid itself to lubricate and cool the interior of the pump; without a pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, it won’t function. Consult the manufacturer to find out how to resolve this issue
This won’t work; it is necessary to connect it to the weather zone of the inlet tank
It has to be returned to the tank; the pipeline cannot go downward, as it tends to vaporize and thus fails to provide lubrication
Changing it to the outlet won’t work; the pressure at the outlet is too high, preventing fluid from flowing out. As a result, the circulating coolant inside the motor chamber will be hindered from moving, and problems will arise immediately
