I’m seeking advice from fellow sailors: is it safer to unload the reciprocating compressor in a hydrogen processing unit with air present or without air? It seems that most unloading devices are operated without wind pressure at present, but assuming there is a fault with the instrument air supply for such devices, the compressor will operate at full load – is there any safety risk in that situation?
