But for pipelines with flexible connections at the inlet and outlet, is it still necessary to carry out this inspection? ? ? ? It’s that kind of rubber flexible connection. . . . . . The workers here made sure that the flexible connections at the inlet and outlet were secure, so there was no need for stress testing; in fact, the pipelines were not even disconnected during alignment. . . . I’ve never encountered a problem like this before; I’d appreciate some advice.

In my personal opinion, when aligning the pump and the motor, it is necessary to consider the stress on the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump. As for the inlet and outlet pipelines of the pump you described, which are connected by hoses, strictly speaking, regardless of the type of connection used, it is necessary to take into account the stress on those pipelines. Additionally, when aligning the pump, it should be considered in accordance with the state of the pump when it is in operation. That is, the state of the pump during operation. If the inlet and outlet pipelines are not connected, stress must be relieved.
The service life of a flexible connection under prolonged stress is reduced; therefore, the less stress applied to it, the better – the lower the stress, the better. So, there’s nothing to say; just have it checked if possible.
If it’s a soft connection issue, it’s not a big problem, but the deviation of the holes must also not be too large.
