Installation height of the centrifugal pump for draining condensate water

The condensate tank contains saturated condensate. The required NPSH for the centrifugal pump is 1.5 m, while the NPSH available in the system is set at 3 m. Is it acceptable for the inlet of the centrifugal pump to be 3 m lower than the operating liquid level in the condensate tank? I understand that it’s possible, but the design institute believes that the condensate tank needs to be raised another 4–6 meters. Is what the design institute says correct?
For saturated condensate, it is recommended to maintain the liquid level difference at the inlet as much as possible; in such conditions, it’s better to adopt a more conservative approach when dealing with the data.
