What does a gear pump fear the most? Are there any gear pumps that can handle media with particles? I recall there being gear pumps with synchronizing gears; I wonder if such products exist?

Reply to the above two people in one message: I just want to know whether gear pumps (only gear pumps) can handle liquids containing particles. If it can be built, what structural form would it probably take?

Gear pumps cannot handle media containing particles
Gear pumps have very small peripheral clearances, as well as small cross-sectional and meshing clearances. It depends on what type of particles are involved: are they soft or hard? Are they large or small? Hard, larger particles can cause the pump to get stuck once they enter it. Small, soft particles may not cause problems immediately, but transporting them over a long period of time can still cause significant wear on the rotor and the pump casing, resulting in a significant decrease in the pump’s efficiency after some time of operation.
Are there any gear pumps equipped with drive synchronization gears, so that the meshing gears do not transmit force but only pump the liquid?
