Why does an excessively high inlet temperature cause surging in centrifugal compressors?
It should have nothing to do with temperature and something to do with pressure
As the temperature rises, the volume of the gas increases, and the amount of gas passing through per unit time decreases; if the intake volume is insufficient, this can cause compressor surge
As long as it exceeds the equipment’s technical requirements, problems are likely to occur.
High temperature leads to a reduction in volume, insufficient inlet flow, which causes surging

Surge occurs when the mass flow rate at the inlet is insufficient; an increase in temperature reduces the gas density, which also leads to surge.
