Inlet and outlet of an axial flow pump? Does an axial flow pump take in fluid along the axis of the pump and discharge it laterally? Side in and straight out? Or can import and export be connected interchangeably? It doesn’t matter, right?
Do you mean the lateral direction as the tangent to the pump casing’s circumference? If so, it is a centrifugal pump. Axis in, tangent out. If it is axial flow, it should have intake and exhaust along the axis. It would be best to send a video for easier discussion. For reference.
Axial flow pumps have two ports on the axis, as well as those with one port on the axis and one port on the normal line
