Recently, a new bearing was installed in a motor at the company less than two days ago, and it had to be removed for inspection due to abnormal noises. Upon disassembly, it was found that there was a steel ball inside the bearing with severely damaged surface. I don’t know what the reason is? Why are the other steel balls fine, while only one is damaged?

The key to solving such problems is to carefully examine the installation process, the fit between the bearings and the shaft, as well as the lubrication conditions. Ensure cleanliness during installation, follow the correct installation procedures, adjust the appropriate preload, and maintain good lubrication conditions.
