Publication date: 2024-05-07. Kazakhstan is an important country along the Belt and Road Initiative, a key partner for China in terms of capacity cooperation, and also a market that SHANGGU focuses on developing overseas. For a long time, SHANGGU has also engaged in considerable cooperation and exchanges with the Kazakhstani market. Recently, the units supplied by Shaanxi Gas Turbine for a key modernization project in Kazakhstan passed their initial trial run successfully and have been put into full operation. After the upgrade, the refinery’s production capacity can reach 6 million tons per year, and the quality of the petroleum products will meet the Euro V standards, thereby significantly improving the problem of vehicle exhaust pollution in Kazakhstan over the long term.
