The drying system of Levima (Shandong) Chemical's 20,000 tons/year ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene plant, undertaken by Tianhua Institute, was successfully put into operation at one time. At present, the entire system is running smoothly, and the quality of ultra-high polyethylene products benchmarks against my country's advanced level. This device uses ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene technology jointly developed by Tianhua Institute, Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It covers six sections including catalyst preparation, polymerization, separation and drying, powder processing, solvent recovery, public works and auxiliary production facilities. The drying systems are all provided by Tianhua Institute. Ultra-high-density polyethylene (UHMWPE) material is a polyethylene polymer with high density and ultra-high molecular weight. It has the advantages of high strength, high wear resistance, high corrosion resistance, low friction coefficient, self-lubrication, stable chemical properties, and strong aging resistance. It is widely used in industrial production and people's daily life in my country. The successful start-up of this device is a benchmark for the equipment developed by Tianhua Institute in the field of ultra-high polyethylene devices, and also provides key technical support and reserves for the start-up or construction of subsequent ultra-high polyethylene devices in China. It is expected that in the next few years, the ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene market will usher in a period of rapid development. The completion and commissioning of the company's new equipment and the expansion of existing production capacity will be carried out simultaneously. This will bring better opportunities for Tianhua Institute's business expansion in the field of ultra-high polyethylene materials and further assist the company's high-quality development.
