I need to design a product that can separate moisture from flue gas. The temperature of the flue gas is around 120 degrees. I am considering using a compressor to cool the cyclone separator, with centrifugal force being used to separate the gas from the liquid. I’m not sure if this approach will work I’ve seen many pictures online showing that the inlet of cyclone separators is square-shaped – are there any specific requirements for this? Can’t it be circular? Also, the diameter of the main body at the entrance is slightly larger and it’s not circular; is it necessary to design it this way? Also, at the inlet end of the cyclone separator, aren’t the main diameter and height both required to be calculated by the company, rather than being set arbitrarily? A gas-water separator is a device that utilizes dynamic separation technology. Why not turn to a professional company specializing in dynamic separation technology to handle this task? Being an amateur doesn’t mean one can just go about it blindly, right? ? :(
