I’m sharing a set of photos showing the installation of a 6M reciprocating piston compressor for everyone’s reference and learning. This compressor features 6 cylinders with 5 stages of compression; the secondary grouting has been completed and it is currently under curing. Once its strength is sufficient, the pistons and buffer tanks can be installed. After the oil circulation system is verified to be working properly, a mechanical test run will be conducted, and after that, air valves will be installed for a load test run. There are too many quality control points in the installation process of reciprocating compressors, and the installation time is also long; it’s not possible to show everyone each of these steps.

And future maintenance is also extremely troublesome – replacing piston rings, adjusting the orientation of guide rings, and so on. Is it better to have high pressure or a turbine type?
