Secondary intake valve is leaking; repair or replace it
The reciprocating engine’s main unit is not precise, but it is complex. There is more than one reason for the anomaly. The inter-stage temperature increases after maintenance; the theoretical reason is that work done in the first stage increases while it decreases in the second stage. 1. Leakage in the secondary intake valve results in reduced secondary work output. 2. Leakage in the secondary exhaust valve can also result in a reduction in secondary work output. 3. If the cylinder dead centers are not properly set, it can also affect the compression ratio distribution (the impact is not significant).

There are many reasons for high primary exhaust pressure, which need to be ruled out one by one. The main ones include: 1. High primary suction pressure. 2. Secondary intake valve leakage. 3. Low intake temperature. 4. Fault in the primary exhaust valve, such as increased resistance and reduced lift. 5. Instrument failures, etc
When the primary inhalation volume remains unchanged with respect to temperature, the reasons for excessively high primary outlet pressure are: 1, there is a blockage between the primary outlet and the secondary inlet; 2, the secondary stage does not perform its function properly, and it is unable to absorb all of the gas discharged by the primary stage in order to send it to the next stage. The common reason for this is leakage in the seal of the secondary intake valve; it might be that the sealing gasket between the valve inside and the cylinder seat has failed, or the valve disc does not close properly ; Another reason is that when the piston seal rings wear out, air leaks between the shaft side and the cover side, which reduces the suction capacity at the second stage; as a result, the pressure rises. Additionally, the cooling effect of the first-stage outlet cooler is poor. Suggestion: Calibrate the safety valve again.
