Experienced experts: Since the valve stems of the control valves in our current turbines always get worn out, we would like to modify these control valves. The original turbines use PGPL valves; we want to install them on the pipeline before the quick-shut valves. Is it possible to do this? What should be noted?
You can consult the manufacturer regarding this modification. Our control valve stem leaks steam due to wear; tightening the stem gland and filling the stuffing box with graphite paste can provide long-term protection.
