The materials should be in a uniform suspension of solids and liquid; the liquid is water, while the solid is sulfate (with a density of 2.7 and a particle size of 80 mesh). It is required that the solids and liquid remain uniformly suspended within the tank, with a solid content of 60%, and that the solids do not settle to the bottom. The suspension should be uniform, but the stirring should not be too intense to avoid breaking the solids. The straight cylindrical section of the tank has a diameter of φ2500 and a height of 3000; it features an elliptical bottom head, and a turbine-type agitator with three layers and four inclined blades is planned to be installed. The blade diameter is φ1400, the rotation speed is 40 rpm; it is an inclined blade with an angle of 45°. Regarding the direction in which the material is pushed by these three layers of blades, should it be upward or downward? Which suspension effect is the best? In actual use, we press down the bottom layer of blades and flip up the upper two layers. The advice given by mixer manufacturers is to flip them all upwards for the best results. Please give me some guidance, thanks.
