Your participation and discussions serve as the greatest motivation! ********************** [Ten Years of Great Development in Chemical Engineering Equipment] This is a continuously updated compilation post; all are welcome to join the discussion: https://bbs.hcbbs.com/thread-3576046-1-1.html ***************** Recently, the first domestically developed 450,000-ton/year polypropylene compounding, extrusion, and granulation unit, created by Dalian Heavy Industry Equipment Group, successfully passed its factory acceptance tests at the Yingchengzi Rubber & Plastics Machinery R&D Base. It is now ready to be delivered to PetroChina’s Tarim Phase II ethylene project with an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons in Dushanzi. According to the evaluation by the expert panel, this unit features a reasonable layout and excellent quality; all its performance indicators meet the design requirements, the acceptance documents are complete and reliable, and it satisfies the requirements for factory acceptance. This marks a key breakthrough in the domestic production of another major piece of technical equipment in our country – large-scale mixing, extrusion, and granulation units. It is reported that CNPC’s Dushanzi Petrochemical Tarim Phase II Ethylene Project is a model project for CNPC in pursuing green and low-carbon development as well as promoting the transformation and upgrading of its refining and petrochemical operations. As the key equipment for this project, the polypropylene mixing, extrusion, and granulation unit has a standard production capacity of 56.5 tons per hour under normal operating conditions, with a maximum capacity of 67.5 tons per hour. Its overall performance is at the international advanced level. The successful development of this unit represents a significant step forward for China’s technology in manufacturing polypropylene mixing, extrusion, and granulation units with an annual capacity of 450,000 tons – moving from a position of following others in this field to one of keeping pace with them, and even taking the lead. It also offers significant advantages over imported equivalent equipment in terms of overall cost and delivery time. This will help accelerate the process of developing domestic, high-end polyolefin processing equipment in China, enhancing the resilience and security of its industrial supply chains. It lays a solid technical foundation for the construction of large-scale ethylene and polypropylene plants in the country, serving as a valuable example and catalyst for progress in this industry. It is reported that the other two 450,000 tons per year full-density polyethylene extrusion granulation units intended for this project have also entered the final assembly phase, undergoing the final preparations before delivery.
