【Haichuan Expands Horizons】World’s First 630°C Ultra-supercritical Generator Rotor Installed

On September 8, the installation of the generator rotor for Unit 1 of the Datang Yuncheng 630°C ultra-supercritical, double-reheat **power demonstration project, which is being constructed by China Power Construction Nuclear Energy Company, was completed successfully in one attempt. The successful completion of this task laid a solid foundation for the subsequent installation and commissioning of the unit as well as its operation on schedule. 　　The Datang Yuncheng project is a million-kilowatt-class coal-fired **power demonstration project, tasked with leading the development of **highly efficient and clean coal power. Taking \"reheat steam temperature of 630°C\" and \"power generation thermal efficiency exceeding 50%\" as its key features, it is the world’s first single-axis 1-million-kilowatt-class superheated steam turbine unit with the highest pressure, temperature, efficiency, and coal consumption. 　　Upon operation, it will be able to generate 10 billion kWh of electricity per year, saving over 100,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 267,000 tons; thus offering significant benefits in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction, as well as serving as a model for others to follow.
