Experts, I need help! Our company has a unloading room with dimensions of 6*11*4 meters, but ammonia gas often evaporates there, making it difficult for workers to carry out their tasks. Now, consider adding a centrifugal fan to exhaust this portion of the exhaust gases to the on-site exhaust gas treatment system. How should the fan be selected? Personal opinion: First, calculate the indoor volume in cubic meters. Then, based on the frequency at which you want the air in the room to be refreshed – for example, every 2 hours – determine the required air flow rate in cubic meters per hour. After that, consult fan manufacturers and choose a model that is commonly used. In this case, you can directly contact a fan manufacturer to have them help you calculate the appropriate model.
You can choose a DDL-type fan; the one with a low speed of 0.55 KW can achieve an air exchange rate of nearly 3,000 cubic meters per hour. The effectiveness of air ventilation depends greatly on the installation location of the fan.
