The propylene compression unit of the propylene purification distillation unit, independently developed by Chongqing Jiangzeng Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., has been officially delivered. As a specialized and innovative \"little giant\" enterprise, Jiangzeng Heavy Industry, thanks to its 162 valid authorized invention patents and three awards for second-class achievements in scientific and technological progress, has once again set new benchmarks in the field of high-efficiency energy-saving equipment. This unit innovatively adopts a heat pump distillation cycle technology, in which a compressor is used to adiabatically compress and heat the overhead gas (99.6% propylene + 0.4% propane), converting it into a heat source for the reboiler and thus enabling efficient recycling of hot and cold streams. Over a period of two years, the technical team overcame key challenges such as the development of efficient aerodynamic designs for real-world operating conditions, high-precision simulation, the design of highly reliable flexible rotors with long cantilesers in transcritical conditions, and the modular integration of system components. After thorough testing across the entire process, it was shown that these solutions can reduce operating costs by more than 60%, offering significant energy-saving benefits; their performance metrics are at an internationally advanced level. It also received high recognition from customers, laying the foundation for further expansion into related market segments. It is reported that Jiangzeng Heavy Industry is a company specialized in the research of marine exhaust gas turbocharger technology, as well as in product development, production, and services. It is also a specialist in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of centrifugal compressors, turbine expanders, and system assemblies; its steam compressors have held the first position in the domestic market for many years in a row. Leveraging its **Enterprise Technology Center**, **level postdoctoral research stations**, and Chongqing’s Talent Innovation and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Teams, the company has been deeply involved in the field of turbomachinery for a long time. It has overcome numerous critical technical challenges; several products developed through its own efforts have filled gaps in domestic production and broken foreign monopolies. The successful development and application of this unit not only reflect Jiangzeng Heavy Industry’s technical expertise in process gas compressors, but also signify the continuous advancement of the high-end equipment industry cluster in Degan Industrial Park. Relevant officials from the enterprise said that in the future, they will leverage the industrial clustering advantages of the park to advance innovation in the field of turbomachinery, thereby helping China’s high-efficiency and energy-saving equipment move from a position of following others to one of leadership.
