According to news from December 14, 2025, this machine, developed by the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute under the Sixth Academy of the China National Space Administration, has been in use at the polyolefin facility of Sinopec Corporation’s Tianjin branch for over 30 days now. Polyolefin crushing and feeding machines are primarily used for the metered transfer of polyolefin powder, as well as for crushing large-sized plasticized lumps that form in the process flow. They ensure the stability of subsequent processing and the quality of the product, making them key equipment in the polyolefin processing system. Due to the high reliability requirements that production lines place on this equipment, it has long been dominated by foreign products. The polyolefin crushing and feeding machine, independently developed by the Beijing Aerospace Power Research Institute, uses a hydraulic drive system; this helps to reduce the mechanical shocks that occur during the crushing and plasticizing of materials due to the rigid connections of the motors, thereby significantly improving operational stability. The successful operation of this phase-based verification has achieved a breakthrough in the localization of key equipment for polyolefin plants, laying a solid foundation for subsequent market deployment.
