In our company’s manufacturing process, the mixing of auxiliary materials takes place as follows: the viscosity of these auxiliary materials is 700 cp (they contain titanium dioxide, antioxidants, etc.), while the viscosity of the mother liquor is 600 P. The mixing equipment is shown in the diagram below; the stirring speed is approximately 30 rpm. It has been observed that by adjusting the stirring speed, the color of the mixed material changes, which indicates that the current mixing effect is not sufficient. The auxiliary material is added by a gear pump; after dilution, the gear pump may be unable to deliver the material properly, or the flow rate may become unstable, and in severe cases the gears may wear out. Could the mixing mechanism be improved?
