Recently, significant progress was made on the China Coal Yulin deep coal processing project, which is under the general contract of Hualu Company of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation: the main motor of the 40MW air compression unit was tested successfully on its first attempt. This marks the first application of domestically produced super-large synchronous motors in the coal chemical industry, indicating a significant step forward in the localization of high-end equipment in China’s chemical sector. During the project construction, Hualu Company, in collaboration with units such as the China Coal Yulin Phase II Project Team, Hangyang Group, Erhua Jian, Sanhua Jian, and equipment manufacturers, formed a specialized commissioning team. For key auxiliary systems such as high-voltage electrical systems, circulating water systems, CCS control systems, and lubricating oil systems, the team carried out precise tuning of core parameters including water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure, starting current, and interlock logic. By employing innovative technical methods, they overcame various bottlenecks, ensuring \"zero delays\" at all critical construction stages. It is reported that this project utilizes 3 sets of 85,000-class air separation units supplied by Hangyang to carry out scientific research on the first application of domestically produced large motors in the air separation industry. The 40MW ultra-high power electric drive unit put into use this time was manufactured by Shanghai Electric Group Shanghai Motor Factory Co., Ltd. It has been included in the **application demonstration project, and it holds great significance for promoting the high-quality development of China’s coal chemical industry. The successful trial run this time lays a foundation for the subsequent commissioning of the air compressor units, the joint trial operation of the air separation plant, and operation in the bare-cooling mode. The project team will continue to strictly control quality, safety, and schedule to ensure that the project is delivered and put into operation on schedule.
