So how should the diameters of the inlet and outlet pipes connected to the filter be determined? What determines the flow rate, or are there any reference standards?
HG/T 20570.6-1995 specifies recommended flow rates, which can be used as a reference
Relevant specifications can be consulted; within the recommended flow rate, the pipe diameter is calculated based on the flow volume

Different media each have an empirical flow velocity; the pipe diameter is determined based on flow rate and velocity!

Yes, once the flow rate and volume are known, it’s possible to do the calculations, but I’m not sure what standard should be used for the flow rate
The flow rate of ordinary liquids is usually around 2.5 meters per second; with this value, it’s possible to estimate the diameter of the pipeline, after which a standard pipe with a diameter slightly larger than the calculated value can be chosen
