Welding issues with S32750 or 2507 super duplex steels

Have you ever welded S32750 or 2507 super duplex steel? Today I encountered a construction company that used ER2209 welding wire for the weldability assessment of S32750 super duplex steel. The assessment results seemed fine, but from what I’ve found online, this type of duplex steel is generally welded using ER2594 welding wire. I’m not sure which one is correct
Do not overlook the corrosion resistance. Duplex stainless steels are generally used in environments with high chloride ion concentrations. The resistance of S32750 or 2507 super duplex steels to chloride-induced corrosion is greater than that of 2205 (they have a higher pitting corrosion coefficient). While welding with 2209 may not result in issues regarding strength and toughness, the corrosion resistance of the weld metal is significantly reduced; as a result, the weld is likely to suffer severe corrosion and fail prematurely.
2507 duplex steel is generally welded using ER2594 welding wire; if the base material is imported, it is recommended to use imported welding materials as well. The quality of 2507 duplex steel produced by domestic manufacturers varies greatly. For pricing information, please contact me
