How to calculate the flange as shown in the diagram?
Calculated based on the maximum diameter, which is a conservative approach.
It can be calculated based on the outer diameter; if you want a more accurate figure, you’ll need to find relevant information and do the calculations yourself.
If this is connected to the smaller end of the conical head, the stress conditions at that smaller end of the conical head need to be taken into account
