For large-diameter custom flanges (DN>600), is there a certain rule governing the outer diameter of the flange to determine its dimensions? What is a reasonable outer diameter for large-diameter custom flanges in general? Thank you all, fellow sailors, for your helpful answers!
In design, standard flanges are preferred. If it is truly necessary to design a non-standard flange, the design is still carried out by referring to the dimensions of standard flanges. For large-diameter flanges, if they are equipment flanges, refer to the equipment flange standards. For non-standard flanges, strength calculations are required. Generally, non-standard flanges are thicker than standard flanges.
GB9115, GB9116, and GB9117 should contain large-diameter flanges.
There are also many flange standards for values over 600, as well as a variety of pressure categories. Look at the specific manufacturing process.
