Drain trough for large storage tanks

Recently, I encountered a problem while designing a storage tank with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters, and I would like to discuss it with the experts in this forum. We have also referred to drawings from other companies; why are there so few drainage channels in tanks with a capacity of over 10,000 cubic meters? Does a larger volume affect the foundation construction due to the drainage groove?
I also want to ask； Also: Why is this pipeline segmented with flanges? Is there any special use?
This one is still quite commonly used. It has flanges, which facilitate disassembly and assembly later on
It can also be welded. Consider the ease of disassembly and assembly.
I don’t see what’s the use of it being detachable – does it make it easier to clean the sink? With such a large sink, it should be possible to clean it without removing this pipe, right?
