On the P&ID diagram, when describing the equipment details in the lower left corner, for vertical head storage tanks, what volume should be indicated? How should the specific dimensions be specified? Should the diameter and height of the tank body be indicated?
Each company uses different labeling; ours includes the following 5 items: serial number, tank name, dimensions, capacity, and material
Relatively comprehensive information: diameter, wall thickness, height, material, weight
Should pressure/temperature, operating pressure/temperature, and whether insulation is provided not be specified?
I would like to know how you indicate the dimensions – do you specify the diameter and height of the cylinder? Or indicate the cylinder diameter directly along with the total height ; Also, which volume are you referring to – the total volume of the solvent, or the effective volume?
The cylinder diameter and cylinder height, not the total height. Full volume.
Our unit specifies: design pressure/temperature, operating pressure/temperature, and equipment diameter x height – these are factors that need to be taken into account for process requirements and space layout. The rest, such as the material, thickness, and volume of the equipment, are determined by specialized equipment calculations!

In which version of the P&ID are annotations like yours shown, during the detailed engineering phase or the preliminary design phase?
During the detailed design phase, if there are performance requirements for the equipment, they can also be specified, such as processing capacity and handling capacity
