Why does a vent flame arrester build up pressure? ?
Not really. I’m not sure. When the pressure is high, there’s no buildup of pressure; but when the pressure is low, pressure does build up, until it reaches a certain level
There might be some sticky substance accumulated at the valve disc inside the valve. When the pressure is high, it is released; when it is low, it cannot be released and pressure builds up.
One is normal process gas venting, with a pressure that can reach up to 2.5 Mpa; the other is nitrogen purging, with a pressure of around 0.03 Mpa. However, in the case of nitrogen purging, pressure builds up, reaching over 0.1 Mpa
There are no other pipelines for process venting; the valves are not blocked, and there is just a flame arrester at the top of the on-site vent
By the way, the process medium is coke oven gas that has not been degreased or desulfurized
The absence of other pipelines does not mean that nothing is added to the gas.
Do you mean there’s no issue with the flame arrester, but the valve is blocked?
Is nothing connected in front of the flame arrester?
