1. Do heat transfer oil boilers have drain ports similar to those of steam or hot water boilers? If not, how is the old oil inside the boiler removed when replacing it? 2. When replacing the oil in a heat transfer oil system, should the old oil be collected through pipes for centralized disposal, or should discharge outlets be installed at various points and the oil collected in barrels? What is the common practice nowadays?
For those with discharge ports, they are located at the bottom of the low-level tank, from where the liquid can be poured into buckets.

Traditional vertical heat transfer oil furnaces do not have a drain port; instead, the heat transfer oil is replaced through a low-level tank. If it’s horizontal, it can only be blown using an air pump.
Yes, during system installation, a backflow port is installed at the lowest point of the system; or an oil discharge port is provided at the feed inlet. If possible, install a backflow port on your own to speed up the discharge process, and then proceed with purging.
