Is the new 304L container rusting?

I just bought a new small container made of 304L material. Upon inspection inside, I found many rusty areas on the walls of the container. Could it be that the manufacturer used inferior 304 material instead, or did corrosion occur during the manufacturing process?
Those square-shaped marks are not rust; they are caused by welding on the front side, which leads to discoloration on the back side. They cannot be considered defects； The large-scale contamination of the cylinder is caused by iron ions. If there are any issues with the material, a spectral analysis can be performed.
Stainless steel rusts more severely. If it doesn’t work, it can be returned; if it has already been used, then consider whether there are any issues with the manufacturing process or elsewhere.

It’s really hard to determine how iron ion pollution arises. Have you considered the chloride content when using tap water for cleaning?
Made by small manufacturers; some of them use rubber rollers, while those that use steel rollers cause iron contamination, which is inevitable.
