Dear friends: How should heating be considered to prevent crystallization in a 100-cubic-meter liquid caustic soda storage tank (at atmospheric pressure)? The cost of jackets is too high; I was thinking of using coiled tubes (tubes arranged on the same horizontal level, not in a coiled pattern). I wonder if there will be significant resistance and vibration when steam is used – is this approach feasible? Or do anyone have any good suggestions? Thank you all for your advice
Considering only heating to prevent crystallization, the steam pressure and volume will not be very high, so there should be no problem.
Coil heating is used, but the jacketing effect is poor (stirring equipment is required); The accounting is accurate; a horizontal heater is generally sufficient ;
Thank you! Is stirring needed when changing the storage tank? It’s not alkalinization. Also, what does horizontal heating refer to?

Coil + external insulation is basically fine
Could you be more specific and provide a schematic diagram?:)

That is, the temperature of the alkaline solution should not be too high after heating, otherwise alkali embrittlement is likely to occur.
