A new low-pressure drum has been added to the plant’s medium-pressure boiler; according to the design, there is only a maximum operating pressure and a water pressure test pressure, with no designated design pressure? ? ? How is it possible to have no design pressure? Please explain. . . So, how is the setting pressure of the safety valve determined? ? ?
According to the boiler accessory design, the design pressure is not displayed, but there is a calculated pressure...
The temperature and pressure of saturated water vapor are directly related to each other; the drum is connected to the boiler and located above it, so the design pressure of the drum can be set at the operating pressure of the boiler. Of course, it can be calculated using the hydrostatic test pressure. In any case, pressure vessels should be marked with the design pressure.
