The equipment consists of several major components; it’s best to inquire about the price for each one separately. It also depends on what specific device it is.

An approximate estimate is made based on the weight of the materials listed in the equipment diagram; it mainly takes into account the components with the greatest weight (including the large flanges connecting the equipment cylinders), with the weight multiplied by the unit price.
I have encountered similar situations, and I figured out the following: 1. Disassemble the device into its various components, calculate the weight of each component, and determine the total weight of the device. (PS: For questions regarding how to determine weight, consult the company’s quotation specialist or designer.) 2. Total weight * Unit price * Factor (The unit price refers to the production cost per ton or kilogram, taking into account the company’s actual production conditions.) For parts that need to be purchased externally, the procurement department should obtain quotes before including them in the total cost. 4. For processes that require special treatment on specific parts of the equipment, such as heat treatment, enamel coating, lining, and high-precision metal machining, the costs associated with these processes need to be considered separately. 5. According to standard sales contracts, costs for accessories such as spare parts must be included. That’s more or less the situation; I haven’t had direct contact with the quotes. I work in design; I’m usually tasked with preparing quotes and similar things. We use SW6 to calculate the weight and specifications of the main components such as cylinders, heads, tube sheets, supports, and flanges, and then we create a detailed list to submit to the sales department, which has its own conversion formulas
