In the NB/T 47020–47027 standards, the highest flange pressure class applicable to pressure vessels is 6.4 MPa. So which standard applies to the flanges of pressure vessels operating at 6.4 MPa? 3. Which standard applies to the flanges of non-pressure vessels (such as storage tanks)? Thank you!

According to the provisions on container flanges in HG/T20583, only flanges that meet these specific standards are generally permitted; if other types of flanges are used, they must be considered as non-standard flanges and selected after undergoing relevant calculations.
At present, the only standard for container flanges in the pressure vessel industry is NB/T47020; of course, container flanges can also be pipe flanges. For containers with pressures above 6.4 MPa, the flanges must be designed specifically; however, if the equipment diameter is small, pipe flanges can be considered. For domestic pipe flanges used in non-pressure vessel equipment, the standards include GB/T9112–9124, JB/T74-86, SH/T3404, and HG/T20592 (20615). It is rarely used in JB/T.
