It is theoretically possible to install a safety valve on a pipeline, but there are several key points to keep in mind: first, no shut-off valves should be installed on the pipeline between the safety valve and the storage tank, as this would block the discharge path; Secondly, the strength, diameter, and resistance of this pipeline must meet the discharge requirements, so as not to become a bottleneck ; Third, the installation location should facilitate daily inspection and maintenance. What was the reasoning behind not equipping the air storage tank with safety accessories? This is a gas storage tank, which serves as a gas source; it is not a separation vessel like a steam drum, and therefore a safety valve must be installed. You need design documents for the piping used in the connection.
I’ve really never seen an air storage tank without safety accessories. If safety accessories are already installed at the outlet of your air compressor, and the design pressure of the air storage tank is greater than or equal to the setting pressure of the safety valve, then it’s not necessary to install additional safety accessories, as the tank serves merely as a buffer. For low-temperature storage tanks, it is necessary to install a relief device.
No safety valve is provided. The pressure of the pressure source is controllable (there is a safety valve), and no manhole is provided – how was this considered to reduce costs? It shouldn’t be possible, right?
The technical requirements specify that safety accessories shall be uniformly configured in the system by the process. Whether to install manholes should be determined based on the equipment specifications; it’s sufficient not to go overboard.
Why is a safety valve needed? If the design pressure of the gas tank is higher than the pressure of the gas supply, then a safety valve isn’t necessary.:)

Who taught you to think this way? It’s okay not to install a safety valve; are you planning to use a burst disc instead? A release device is necessary, although it’s allowed not to be installed on the main body. The design team also needs to calculate the discharge capacity of such a device to ensure that it meets the required standards. If the pressure vessel design firm simply states that a device should be installed in the system, then the user must find a qualified firm to carry out the process design and to calculate parameters such as the system’s safe discharge capacity. This is purely unnecessary and results in extra costs.
