I am from a manufacturer of glass-lined equipment; the design lifespan indicated on the drawings is 7 years. The reason given is that it is a standard specification within the glass lining industry. I would like to ask whether this claim is correct Additionally, I checked the technical requirements and standards for glass-lined equipment, and no specific requirement regarding the design lifespan was specified. So, can we refer to the design lifespan requirements outlined in HG20580 and specify it as 10 years?
We are a specialized manufacturer of glass-lined products; the design service life of glass lining has been discussed at industry conferences. Because, in addition to carbon steel corrosion, glass-lined equipment also requires consideration of the tendency of the glass layer to be damaged. Therefore, its service life is shorter than that of carbon steel and stainless steel reaction vessels. Not in accordance with the Ministry of Chemical Industry standards.
So, based on the actual conditions of use such as the medium, temperature, and pressure, as well as our experience from past use, is it possible to request the manufacturer to extend the service life to 10 years? Thank you!

HG20580 has its own scope of application, which is the same as that of GB150; however, glass-lined containers fall outside the scope of application of GB150, so the design life of such containers does not need to comply with the provisions of HG20580.

But in GB150, among the containers that are not applicable, glass-lined containers are not included
I saw that too; the 1.5g version is marked as not complying with GB150. I don’t know how to explain this!
According to the fixed-volume regulations, glass-lined equipment should have its designed service life specified, but GB150 does not apply to glass-lined vessels, and standard GB25025 does not specify the service life of glass-lined equipment either. Given the usage characteristics of glass-lined containers, once the enamel layer is damaged, the equipment can no longer be used. However, in such cases the metal core of the equipment is usually still intact; it would therefore be unreasonable and uneconomical to conclude that the equipment has reached the end of its useful life. Re-coating the equipment could be an option, allowing it to continue to be used. Therefore, the service life of glass-lined equipment can be specified in the same way as that of ordinary pressure vessels, with the note that the glass lining is not included. What you said makes perfect sense, but the glass-lined equipment manufacturers are unwilling to indicate it in that way!
