Regarding the classification of waste heat flash tanks

Recently, there was a waste heat steam flash tank with a volume of 0.4 m3, an operating pressure of 1.5 MPa, and a design pressure of 2.5 MPa. The operating temperature is 265°C, and the design temperature is 300°C; the design institute has classified it as a Class II vessel. Previously, design institutes classified it as a Class I vessel. Is water considered a liquefied gas in this context? Does it belong to the first category of media?
This post was last edited by 15269377660 on 2017-9-26 07:38. A design pressure greater than 1.6 MPa should classify it as Category II; it’s not because liquefied gases are classified as Category II.
